Warm Homes: Local Grant
Three eligibility routes: (1) postcode in IMD deciles 1–2 (most deprived 20% of areas, no income check required); (2) means-tested benefits (Universal Credit, Pension Credit, Income Support, and others); (3) joint household income under £36,000.
ECO4
Means-tested benefits or low EPC rating (D or below) with low income. Funded by energy suppliers — apply through an approved installer.
Great British Insulation Scheme
Scheme closed to new applicants October 2025.
Warm Homes Plan
Full details not yet confirmed. Government has committed to a broader programme to upgrade 5 million homes. Expected to cover low-income and fuel-poor households.
VAT Exemption
Available to all households — no income or eligibility check required.
Boiler Upgrade Scheme
Available to owner-occupiers in England and Wales replacing an existing fossil fuel heating system with a heat pump or biomass boiler.
